Member Bio:

Steve grew up playing baseball in Pittsburgh, PA. He played college baseball at the University of Pittsburgh where he led the Panthers in appearances and ERA several times during his tenure and earned an athletic scholarship and was team captain in 1984 and 1985.

Prior to participating in the Chesapeake MSBL, Steve played for and won multiple league and regional championships with several adult baseball leagues. These included both the Greater Pittsburgh Federation and Tri-County Sandlot Leagues in Pittsburgh and The Greensboro Collegiate and Triangle Roy Hobbs Leagues in North Carolina.

Steve chose to be inducted into the HOF as a member of the Chesapeake Braves but has played with multiple teams and age levels in the league. Steve is a 6-time Chesapeake MSBL All Star and has participated on teams that have won 15 Regular Season Championships, 13 Post Season Championships, 3 Columbus Day Tournaments and 2 Fall Classic National Championships. Steve has been part of a season or league championship since 2002 and has over 120 wins including 20 in the playoffs.

In additional to his time as a player, Steve has devoted many volunteer hours back to the game throughout his career. He spent two years as an assistant and pitching coach for his high school and organized and ran an instructional youth baseball clinic and pitching camp for over 8 years in North Carolina.

Steve is the 14th member inducted into the Chesapeake MSBL Hall of Fame. His induction took place on February 18 , 2012.
